Pilates Description

Pilates is a unique exercise phenomenon that has been gaining popularity over recent years.

Pilates incorporates strength and organisation of the body to achieve optimum breathing, posture and body balance. Since its inception by Joseph Pilates in 1920’s Pilates has undergone transitions and changes  which reflect the increasing amount of information and research that exists in today’s modern world.


Pilates can be done in a variety of ways, on equipment to provide assistance or challange, as one on one tuition or in classes, as a mat class, or at home with an individually designed programme.
