Mike completed his undergraduate training at the University of British Columbia in Canada. Since moving to New Zealand in 2003, he has also completed a Masters in Health Practice through AUT. Mike’s interest and expertise is in sports medicine – specifically musculoskeletal screening and assessment to enhance sporting performance, and post operative and injury management to assist athletes in their return to sport.
Prior to joining Body in Motion in 2007, Mike worked in Auckland at the Adidas Sports Medicine Centre and was involved with rugby and hockey teams at regional and provincial levels. Mike is one of four physiotherapists in the Bay of Plenty who is an accredited provider with the New Zealand Academy of Sport. He is also a physiotherapy provider for Bike New Zealand
Sonia Fincham and Damian Banks from the mount clinic also see patients at Baywave throughout the week.
A number of other Body in Motion Physiotherapists also use the Baywave Gym complex for the rehabilitation of there occupation health clients.
