Tom gained his physiotherapy degree while in the South African military. His service enabled him to gain experience in a variety of fields, including musculoskeletal, hydrotherapy, respiratory and neurological physiotherapy. Tom has also worked in the United Kingdom in public and private practice.
Tom’s areas of interest are manual therapy, exercise-based rehabilitation and sports injuries, particularly the diagnosis and management of shoulder injuries. Tom undertakes occupational workplace assessments and stay-at-work programmes for both ACC and private insurers. His corporate clients include Satara Co-operative Group.
Nicola qualified in physiotherapy in the United Kingdom. She is interested in exercise-based rehabilitation in both the clinic and gym setting. Nicola specialises in the rehabilitation of spinal pain and is a registered acupuncturist. She also has experience in clinical Pilates and has experience in respiratory, neurological and orthopaedic physiotherapy.
Grant graduated from Otago University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree & also completed a Post-graduate Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy. After an extended OE working in clinics in the UK and Australia, Grant returned to New Zealand in 2008 and joined the Body in Motion team.
Whilst in the UK, Grant worked for the BBC & gained invaluable experience in the field of Ergonomics. On moving to Australia, he began to specialise in back pain rehabilitation & clinical Pilates, including use of the Pilates Reformer. Grant has worked with a number of sports teams in NZ as their team physiotherapist.
