Welcome My name is Malachy (and that’s not ma-lar-key for the cheeky ones of you out there, with an interest in, or lineage to, things Irish) Shivnan and I am co-owner and General Manager of Body in Motion Physio. I am Gizzy born and bred, Otago Uni cultured, and now Tauranga & Mt Maunganui matured. I have a beautiful & supportive wife, Sarah (who co-owns the business), and four amazing children in Molly, Gus, Charlie, & Sam. I love them to bits, and try to spend as much time with them as work allows. I am a sports enthusiast, both watching and participating, and try to keep the mid-drift contained through swimming, running, surfing and Pilates. I must say that I am really enjoying and feeling the benefits of my weekly Pilates sessions at our Grenada Rd clinic (A bit of a plug here for sure but its from the heart). After 45 years of ignoring my lack of flexibility and core strength I have finally decided that the best form of defence is attack, and I am now waging a war against those little ache and pain gremlins in my body and that dreaded morning stiffness shuffle. To the unconverted out there it takes about 6 continuous, weekly sessions of Pilates to start to feel this change, but its well worth it!
