  • Sleep disturbances

HOW DOES ACUPUNCTURE WORK?

Each of the organs of the body has its own associated channel of energy, called a Meridian. Very fine (one-use/disposable) needles are inserted into points along these Meridians, stimulating the nervous system. This stimulation can have a local healing effect on the injured tissue; can change the experience of pain in the body, and bring the body back to balance and harmony.

Each acupuncture session is about 30-45 minutes in duration, with needles being left in place for 20-25 minutes.

You may find the needles encourage a very deep state of relaxation; some people actually drift off to sleep during their session.
